He began his sports journalism career in 2009 as a cadet at the daily newspaper in Wagga Wagga. From there he went to Wollongong and then to Sydney in 2015 where was a sports journalist at Fox Sports Australia.
Simon specialises in cricket, NRL, AFL, and golf, but has covered everything from lawn bowls to horse racing and boxing. Sport and writing are his two passions.
