Damien started in media in 2011, as a cadet at the NT News. Having grown up in Darwin, he moved into the role immediately after graduating high school. He would spend five years there, covering just about everything. From cops, crocs and cyclones, to politics, health, education and of course sport.
At the end of 2015, he moved into crisis communication with NT Police, Fire and Emergency services, before he relocated to Sydney in 2018 and took a break from media.
